Welcome to Sue Mann’s teaching program in the Palo Alto, CA area. The curriculum consists of two basic entities:
1) Sue Mann Violin: the teaching program offering individual and group lessons. See www.suemannviolin.com for more information.
2) Magical Strings West: the violin performance group based in the Palo Alto area, formerly Sapphyre Strings of Naperville NFP. Sapphyre Strings was based in the Chicago area. We are currently in the process of transferring the group’s 501(c)(3) status to Magical Strings West. You can view our activities, recent and upcoming, on this site. In addition, I have provided some examples of Sapphyre Strings musical performances for your enjoyment.
The name Magical Strings West reflects our relationship to the Magical Strings of Youth (MSOY), the violin performance group of the renowned Betty Haag Academy in Buffalo Grove, IL. See www.bettyhaag.com for more information on master teacher Betty Haag and her Chicago-area program.
